Special sessions
To enhance the technical program and open the door to specific topics and areas, IECON 2012 will include many special sessions, in addition to regular announced ones.
Special sessions can cover subjects or cross-subjects belonging to the topics of interest, or novel topics related with the ones identified within the topics of interest.
Special sessions can also have the drive from specific R&D projects or clusters of projects.
Submission procedure for special session papers will be as for regular papers.
How to propose a special session
If you are interested in organizing a special session, please contact Special Sessions Co-Chairs professors, Kim Man, (Hong Kong), Mariusz Malinowski (Poland), Juan José Rodriguez (Spain)
What to put in your special session proposal:
- Title of the session,
- Topic and technical outline of the session (100 word max)
- Name of possible contributing authors
- Names, Emails and contact addresses of the organizers
- Special session organisers must attend the IECON 2012 conference
- Please use the following template for submitting your proposal to all Special Session Co-Chairs:
Review process
The papers of Special Sessions focusing on special topics relevant to the conference tracks are subject to normal review process handled through the conference paper submission system.
Persons wishing to organize a Special Session should submit a proposal (download template in Word format) in PDF format to all Special Session Co-Chairs.
Important dates
The online submission system will be open for Special Session proposals March 20th, 2012. Authors of Special Session submissions will be notified of acceptance two weeks after submitting their proposal.
Rejected Special Session papers will not be considered for regular sessions. The decision of the Technical Program Committee is final.
